On Friday, May 11, Human Services Center participated in the 4th annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day from 3:00-6:00 pm at Cascade Park. The event featured food, Chinese Auction, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Photo Booth, Face Painting, DJ, and More and was open and free to the public. Human Services Center, along with other community resources, participated as vendors by providing information regarding services and supports available in our area. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and by recognizing Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, it allows the purpose of spreading awareness in ending Stigma to start young!! This year’s theme was “Strike Out Stigma”.
