Human Resource Generalist

Benefits:

Assists with the administration of all health and benefits plans, as well as the 403(b) retirement plan. Reviews monthly bills to insure accuracy

Investigates and reports workers compensation issues.

Recruiting:

Responsible for the recruitment of employees beginning with posting vacancies, employee   screening, and making job offers.

Networks with job search agencies and workforce agencies to identify qualified candidates.

Onboarding / Offboarding:

Responsible for onboarding all new employees including completion of new-hire paperwork, enrollment in compliance training, and enrollment into the Isolved system.

Ensures verification of credentials, clearances, licenses, and successful completion of background checks.

Responsible for new hire, termination, and change of status forms with payroll.

Effectively maintains Employee Personnel files, adhering to all regulations requiring filing and retention.

Payroll:

Works with the Payroll Coordinator to ensure the timely submission of the bi-weekly payroll.

Serve as employee liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to benefit deductions and pay.

Employee Relations:

Meets with Union representatives relating to discipline, resolving grievances, and handling Contract Administration. Reviews employee relations issues and recommends appropriate responses to management

Develops and administers human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.

Coordinates training programs, personal and career development, and benefit programs.

Supports the performance review process; provide employees and managers with information about the process, policies, job duties, and process for promotion.

Reporting:

Analyzes data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on a variety of human resources issues.

Training and Staff Development:

Coordinates training programs and ongoing staff development needs.

Performs any related duties as may be required or request by the Executive Director or designee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience in payroll preparation preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with an emphasis on prioritizing.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft word and excel.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance and demeanor.

Pay Range

$40,000 to $45,000
