CLASSIFICATIONMaintenance Repairman I

The person in this position will serve as the general maintenance repairman for the Human Services Center. Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:
1. Must have a working knowledge in the electrical, plumbing, and carpentry fields.
2. Must be able to make repairs involving commercial and residential plumbing and electrical fixtures.
3. Oil and clean selected items of equipment.
4. Shovel snow from walk ways. Cut grass, trim shrubs, and generally maintain landscape areas.
5. Scrub floors and wash windows as needed.
6. Be able to repair wall and ceiling finishes. Paint walls and ceilings as required. Paint and decorate building.
7.  Is available for response to emergencies that have to do with building operation.
8. Provides own transportation from building to building for repairs.
9.  Is responsible for general preventive maintenance on agency vehicles, etc.
11. Perform other related duties as may be required by the Executive Director and/or his designee.                                                                                                                                                                       12. Operate machinery and equipment used for general maintenance duties.


High School diploma

Must have experience in general maintenance work within the building, electrical or mechanical trades.

Must have valid driver’s license.

Must be available to work evenings and weekends upon request by supervisor.

Must be able to do heavy lifting.

Must have Act 33 , Act 34 and FBI Clearances.
